March 7th, 2020, Imperfect Yet Do What U Can jumped into the community with its first sponsored event of the year!
We at Imperfect Yet were more than excited to continue a relationship with our 2019 grant recipient, Viola's House.
Our team of awesome women stepped into the White House in South Dallas at 11 am to begin preparations for the baby shower. These women worked all the way up to the time the shower started at 2pm!
At 2 pm we opened the doors to the White House, and to our amazement, we were packed with people! 5 new moms were the gift recipients for the baby shower, and they all had a wonderful time, even their little ones that tagged along too!
IYDWUC was more than excited to organize this event with Viola's House. We love to get into the community and support organizations that are working for change! Imperfect Yet would also like to thank everybody that came to support this event and those that donated gifts to the new moms. Everyone that was apart of this event really made it special for Viola's House! The baby shower was a success and we look forward to having another in the future!

Viola's House
Viola’s House, Inc. is an emergency placement shelter for teen mothers faced with an unplanned pregnancy, who may also be at-risk for homelessness.
Formed in 2008 as a “Maternity House,” to provide temporary housing and support services to expectant teenage mothers aged 12-21 in the Dallas area. Viola’s House utilizes a holistic approach in order to help teen expectant mothers make enduring, positive changes in their lives. The Program provides basic life necessities of housing, food and clothing, in addition to life skills, education and training in financial literacy, parenting and counseling. Viola’s House takes a preventative approach and provides a comprehensive second chance prevention program.
Their Mission
The mission of Viola's House is to create positive change in the lives, thinking and outlook of unwed parents through practical education and training towards self sufficiency, parenthood and hope for the future.
