Movies Coming to a Stream Near You!

2020 is planned to be jam-packed with huge movies coming to the cinemas. Big names and franchises were set to knock out the box office this year and with the shutdowns all across the world, the place to go to see these shining stars is closed too!

Now with everyone at home for the most part, movie companies in the US are pushing movies to streaming and digital early. Here are 10 movies that are either already available to watch on your couch right now or will be available in the coming weeks!


 

1. Onward

Rating: PG

Release Date: March 6th

Available to stream: March 20th

Platforms: Youtube, Amazon Prime, Vudu, and Google Play. Disney Plus on April 3rd.


Cast: Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Octavia Spencer

About: Teenage brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, go on a quest given to them by their late father. Set in a modern suburban fantasy world, these brothers are in search for a little magic!


2. The Invisible Man

Rating: R

Release Date: February 24th

Streaming Release Date: March 20

Platforms: Google Play, Youtube, Amazon Prime


Cast: Elisabeth Moss, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Storm Reid, Johnny Depp

About: Escaping the abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend, a woman finds out her ex has committed suicide. Now that he is gone, the woman begins to feel like she is being stalked, soon coming to the assumption that he has found a way to become invisible.


3. The Hunt

Rating: R

Release Date: March 13th

Streaming Release Date: March 20th

Platforms: Amazon Prime, Google Play, and Youtube


Cast: Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, Hilary Swank, Ethan Suplee, Justin Hartley

About: 12 strangers are collected and dropped off in a forest by wealthy elites intending to hunt them down!




4. Birds of Prey

Release Date: February 7th

Cast: Margot Robbie, Rosie Perez, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell

About: Harley Quinn has left Mr. J, joins forces with Huntress, Black Canary, and Detective Renee Montoya to save a girl from a crime lord.



5. Just Mercy


Rating: PG-13

Release Date: December 25th

Streaming Release Date: March 24th

Platforms: Apple, Amazon Video



Cast: Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Brie Larson, O'shea Jackson Jr.

About: As a post-grad from Harvard, Bryan Stevenson ventures to Alabama intending to help those that are wrongly convicted or unable to pay for proper representation. Among his first cases is Walter Macmillan, sentenced to death for murder of an 18 year old girl in 1987. Even though evidence proves differently, Macmillan is convicted and Stevenson works tirelessly to fight this case while being racially profiled.



6. Bad Boys for Life

About: Marcus and MIke take on new roles in the Miami PD in order to take down Armando Armas of the drug cartel.

About: Branch and Poppy find out they aren't the only musically inclined trolls out there. Scattered among six different lands, devoted to six different types of music, Poppy and Branch venture out to each land finding trouble.



8. Emma

About: A selfish woman in the 1800s meddles in the love lives of her friends. Based off a novel by Jane Austen.



9. Love Birds

Cast: Issa Rae, Kumail Nanjiani, Anna Camp, Moses Storm

About: Nearly broken up, a couple gets involved with a murder mystery. Once the case is almost solved, they must figure out how to make their relationship work moving forward.




10. Bloodshot

Cast: Vin Diesel, Elza Gonzalez

About: Marine Ray Garrison was murdered then resurrected by a team of scientists. Enhanced by nanotech, Garrison becomes a super-human machine - Bloodshot.
